Yeeehaw!

I'm starting to suspect that I will not be getting that beach body I was hoping for by June. In fact, it would appear that I have the same body I've always had. I guess a beach body at my age requires a little more work than I had planned for (and we all know how lazy I am). But that's ok. All is not lost! I'm having too much fun cowgirling around to care.

This is me playing cowgirl:
In my right hand is a shot of Pendleton whiskey, and in my left is my rope...for, uh, all the cows I (don't)  rope. There's even a pick up in the back ground with a working cattle dog in it! (not mine, but still....) If that doesn't scream "Who really has the time to care about a beach body!?" I don't know what would. My life is just too much fun right now!

The truth is, when you're a bad ass cowgirl (which I am not, by the way, I just like to pretend I am), you really don't care about silly stuff like that.

We had a fantastic weekend out at the ranch (more pictures to follow once my friend Laura has time to download and go through the 300 something photos she took!). We hosted a two day Karyn Shirley horsemanship clinic with a "chili cook out/s'mores around the campfire" kind of evening on Saturday (when this photo was taken). It was so much fun and I learned a lot! Karyn has a wonderfully varied background that includes natural horsemanship with a lot of Buck Brannaman influence, dressage, reining/cutting working ranch horse training, and a good knowledge of the vaquero style of horsemanship I'm working on. It took me a few days to recover (spending 14 hour days at the ranch in 80 degree weather is FUN, but exhausting!).

I'm not posting my weight this week...too many s'mores!

Sounds like a blast! And you are looking great! Why spend time on the treadmill when you could be making great memories being an awesome cowgirl?!

Thanks for posting, and have fun! :)
