I'm starting Weight Watchers again. It has worked for my sister-in-law and several other friends. And it even worked for me a year or so ago! I lost my first 10 pounds on Weight Watchers, but then I decided it was "too restrictive" and I could just do the rest on my own. I did manage to lose another 5 pounds or so for a total of 15. But I've since gained 6 of those back! So now I have another 15-20 to go to get to my original goal.
I think I can do it.
Today is day two and it's been surprisingly easy and even liberating! I have great recipes to cook (I love cooking), I don't have to disect every ingredient and add up the calories, it's all right there. And they have plenty of snack and meal ideas on the website.
For those who say I don't need to lose weight....Thank you! Really, that's really kind. However, I really do. I gain weight from my face, all the way down to my knees (never below the knees), so I may not have one "trouble" spot, but the weight is there, none the less, evenly distributed ALL over.
A year before I met Rob, I weighed: 145 (Happy weight! Cute jeans fit!)
Then I quit smoking for a year
When I met Rob, I weighed: 150 (Still happy! Still lookin' pretty good!)
Then I quit smoking for realsies
A year ago, I topped out at: 170 (Oh, yeah. No.)
That's 25 pounds in the past 7 1/2 years. I know...it happens. I know that quitting smoking had a lot to do with it too, but I certainly wouldn't go back to that as a weight loss tool!
So here we go. I'm going to try this again. I think I've got it now!
My first weigh in: 164.5 (Yeeps!!!)
Stay tuned....
